All production is performed in a Class 8 clean room and is following strict GMP and PFS rules. The QA Manager is responsible for making sure that products are shipped to customers within specifications and to proactively correct any issues that potentially could arise.  Roles and ResponsibilitiesCustomer support Review of specifications from customers to ensure compliance with SAC specifications and answer any questions that may come up   Coordinate customer audits and follow up on any observations   Respond to customer questionnaire forms regarding Quality System  Customer complaint system Coordinate investigation of customer complaints, including root cause analysis and CAPA involving production personnel where possible. Oversees control plans for thermal treatment in correlation with process capability and corporate standards; Analyzes the results periodically and proactively establishes preventive actions and/or corrective actions. Analyze product and process metallurgical non-conformities and establishes appropriate resolutions (corrective actions), within responsibility limits. Reports on a monthly basis all aspects regarding the metallurgical activity of the plant. Provide strategic direction in utilizing new heat treat technology and equipment. Lead, plan, organize and coordinate metallurgical support to Honea Path plant on a weekly basis. Plans, coordinates, and executes multiple large projects, which may be stand alone projects or be part of a multi-disciplinary group of projects designed to improve overall quality, performance, or cost of Timken products. Provide daily manufacturing support and oversight of thermal treatment issues including, but not limited to, adherence to Corporate Metallurgical Standards, verifying special processes, furnace maintenance/repair, product disposition (for metallurgical issues and HT dimensional issues), and creation of furnace recipes. Utilize own knowledge base to develop project ideas to improve overall quality, performance, or cost of Timken products. Interact with corporate support groups (Corporate Quality, Product Materials and Metallurgy, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Advancement) and customers as needed.
